Through its colour palette, louvered windows and distressed white furniture, Fres Co, pairs its Mediterranean ambience with the cuisine the restaurant offers. Key elements such as custom made wine bottle lights, a “live” kitchen and bar, antique fans and stuccoed walls constantly engage the diner by means of providing both points of focus and orientation as well as programmatic engagement.
The restaurant is broadly divided into two inter related yet seemingly distinct spaces i.e. the bar / lounge, and the split level dining areas. A common “wine wall” segregates Fresco from the adjoining restaurant while large buffet counters act as a prelude to the open kitchen.
The combination of imagery, a complimentary material and colour palette and the strategic placement of key functional elements all contribute towards the pairing of environment, food and wine.
